Magic yak

Yaks enjoy the reputation of "Treasure of Plateau", which is the unique cattle species in grassland of Tibetan Plateau. They are a kind of mammals living at the highest elevation in the world, mainly spreading in Tibet, Qinghai, western area of Sichuan, northern and western area of Gansu, southern area of Xinjiang, etc.

Being a typical kind of alpine animals, yaks are black in the whole and their fur is long and shaggy at both sides of their bodies, chest, abdomen and tail with short but sturdy limbs. Yaks resist to hypoxia, ultraviolet, stress with good immunity, and they adapt to environment quickly. As being strong enough to withstand severe cold from -30℃ to -40℃, the kind of species always inhabits in meadow zone ranging from 3,500-6,000 m, unfrequented mountains, basin, alpine grassland, alpine desert, etc., they can live in the area from 5,000-6,000 m in summer, even glacier at 6,400 m, as well as shrub and woodland and alpine grassland where many wild cloven-hoofed animals and livestock cannot survive.

Yaks are the only one of the three source animals, and the only source cow which are well-known for their strong resistance to cold, hypoxia, fatigue, ultraviolet and immunity. Yaks are well adapters to alpine grassland, they are good at steeping slope and risky roads, snow mountain and swamp, as well as swimming through rivers and rip current. As being capable of knowing the way to avoid traps, yaks also win the reputation of "Raft in Snow Area".

Every part of yaks can be made use of, Tibetan people drink yak milk, eat their meat, burn their feces. Their fur can be used to make clothes and tents, and their skin is qualified to make leather. Yaks can be used for both farming and transportation in alpine area. In addition, yak milk is the most valuable treasure.

The output of yak milk is extremely low with its daily output below 5% of normal milk, and yaks only yield milk in certain and short lactation, their milk contains more nutrition than normal milk with a large amount of CLA, protein, lactose, milk mineral, lactoferrin, immune globulin, unsaturated fatty acids, amino acids, vitamin and others, therefore, it has been identified as "Super Food" by The Observer, which particularly suits people requiring high standard of nutrition, including infants and children in lactation, pregnant women, middle aged and elderly, labors under high-intensive working pressure, people of low resistance.

Restricted production area

Only in nature and non-polluted grassland can yaks grow strongly and healthily and can milk of the best quality be produced.

As known the profound meaning, since its foundation, "Treasure of Plateau" has made leading standards for raw milk to choose its production area in the natural and clean Tibetan Plateau, the last pure land away from pollution in the world. And golden areas with superior natural conditions and clean air are finally selected among the whole plateau to ensure that the area is away from industrial society, as well as industrial and chemical pollution and ensure the control of raw milk quality from the source.

Due to the strict requirement, the raw milk selected by "Treasure of Plateau" so far comes from Damxung, Lhasa at the foot of Nyainqentanglha Mountains where the golden production area of Tibetan yak milk is, such as Ruoergai, the second grassland in China.

Milk source bases in Tibet: Lhasa-Damxung

Damxung means "the selected grassland" in Tibetan. It is located at the hinterland of Tibetan Plateau, where the northern and southern Tibet border. The elevation of Damxung is 4,200 m, and its area is about 10036 sq. km. Nyainqentanglha Mountains stretch through its territory with its main peak reaching as high as 7,111 m. Lake Nam, the largest lake in Tibet, lies there, and rives, mainly including Sangqu river, Laqu river, Buqu river, Xiugu river and Dangqu river, run through Damxung, which is the important headstream of branches of Lhasa river.

Grassland in Damxung is broad. Its natural grassland covers 69,3171.3 ha., forest land covers 6,661.2 ha., and usable grassland covers 10.50 million mu with annual usable amount of grass reaching 62,667.1 tons. There is superior grassland accounting for 68% of usable grassland of the whole county and medium grassland accounting for 29%.

Milk source base in Sichuan and Tibet: Aba-Ruoergai

Located at the east margin of Tibetan Plateau, Ruoergai is divided into two parts by the watershed of Yellow River and Yangtze River from north to south. As continuous mountains full of marble trees lie in the east part, while vast grassland with abundant water and grass stretches in the west part, Ruoergai wins its reputation of "emerald of the Plateau".

National wetland reserve is distributed in its territory with the forest area of 2.10 million mu and the natural grassland area of 12.1263 million mu. As it is richly endowed by nature, yaks and other herbivorous livestock are fed in Ruoergai throughout the year which is the heaven to wild animals and plants: it is the habitat of rare birds and beasts such as black-necked crane, sika deer and lesser panda, and also the producing area of valuable traditional Chinese medicine, including snow lotus, fritillaria, cordyceps sinensis, musk and cornu cervi.

Semi-wild stocking

Unlike normal cows in captivity, yaks have been fed by semi-wild stocking for thousands of years. The vast Tibetan Plateau and unique natural conditions make it possible.

Before dawn, the herd led by the bell cow goes to the nature for hunting food. They will drink water melted from glacier and snow and eat natural plants on alpine grassland at will including sheep fescue, clover, saxifraga, rubus xanthocarpus, rhodiola, cordyceps sinensis and fritillaria. At evening, they travel a long way together to come back to the campsite centered at tents, crows around to live through the cold night on the Plateau.

Hardly do herdsmen interfere yaks' lives, what they communicate most is the demarcation of pasture for warm seasons (summer and autumn) and cold seasons (winter and spring) and milking. Herdsmen do not need to waste effort to feed yaks for they do not know what fodder is. They feed several yaks and get allowance and allocation every day without worrying food, clothes, accommodation even education of their children. Thus herdsmen just leave their yaks to grow freely.

Yaks grow healthily and joyfully here and can produce natural and healthy milk due to the unique location condition-Tibetan Plateau, semi-wild stocking, natural, green and balanced food source and free from industrial fodder.

High nutrition value

Yak milk beats other milks in nutrition containment featuring "high concentration, high proportion, high containment". It contains a large amount of natural nutrition, including CLA, protein, lactose, milk mineral, lactoferrin, immunoglobulin, unsaturated fatty acids, amino acids and vitamin. Having been identified as "Super Food" by The Observer owing to its unique nutrition composition, the milk can serve both as food, drink and snack and as natural health care products. It contains natural nutrition several times higher than that of normal ones, and 18 kinds of amino acids among which are 8 necessary kinds cannot be synthesized in human body, and it also has immune globulin lacking in many normal milk. Thus it particularly suits people requiring high standard of nutrition, including infants and children in lactation, pregnant women, middle aged and elderly, labors under high-intensive working pressure, people of low resistance.。

Tips: "magic factor" conjugated linoleic acid (CLA)

I.e., anti-atherosclerosis factor, which abounds in yak milk, can lower cholesterol, triglyceride and LDL in human blood. The milk can not only resist atherosclerosis and adjust blood glucose, but also boost immunity and increase bone mineral density at the same time.

Without pollution

Tibetan yak milk of Treasure of Plateau comes from the last pure land in the world free from pollution of environment, drug, fodder, production. It is the really safe and reassuring milk.

No environmental pollution: come from Tibetan Plateau far away from industrial and chemical pollution.

As it is far away from industrial society, the original eco-environment of pure and clean Tibetan Plateau has been protected from being interfered by human, as a result, yaks born and dying here will not suffer from industrial and chemical pollution for their whole lives.

No drug pollution: come from the magic cow in Tibet which never has drug for its whole life.

Yaks are the only one of the three last surviving source animals, which win its reputation for its strong resistance to cold, hypoxia, fatigue and UV and immunity. Meanwhile, bacterial and microorganism can hardly survive in Tibet for its cold, large difference in temperature between day and night, intensive UV and other climate features. Therefore, yaks rarely get sick, being away from drugs for their whole lives, and will not be polluted by drugs and antibodies.

No fodder pollution: green food contributes to healthy milk.

Yaks are not fed by fodder. They drink water melted from glacier and snow and eat natural plants on alpine grassland at will, including sheep fescue, clover, saxifraga, rubus xanthocarpus, rhodiola, cordyceps sinensis and fritillaria. As a result, they can produce natural and healthy milk for they are protected from invasion of hormone, additives and pesticide residue.

No processing pollution: world-class standard, word-class products.
